As a distributor on the Rime platform, you earn revenue through rebates on fund fees. Our rebate structure is designed to be transparent, predictable, and fully automated — ensuring you’re compensated fairly for bringing investors to private market funds.
Revenue Structure
Rime passes through all fees collected from investors directly to you as rebates. There are no hidden deductions or platform fees on your earnings.
You earn revenue from three sources:
- Subscription fees: Earned when an investor enters a fund
- Redemption fees: Earned when an investor exits a fund
- Servicing fees: Earned annually on invested assets (also known as trail fees)
All fees are automatically calculated at the time of order creation and paid monthly to your designated account.
Fee Types and Ranges
One-Off Fees
One-off fees apply at the point of transaction and are immediately reflected in your rebate calculations.
| Fee Type | Typical Range | When Charged |
|---|
| Subscription fee | 0-2% | Fund entry |
| Redemption fee | 0-2% | Fund exit |
Recurring Fees
Servicing fees generate ongoing revenue based on assets under management. These fees are annually expressed and calculated monthy as well as paid out monthly. Payouts are processed at the end of a month.
We recommend 0.5% p.a. as a best-practice servicing fee.
| Fee Type | Typical Range | Payment Frequency |
|---|
| Servicing fee | ~0.5% p.a. | Monthly |
Rebate Payouts
- Rebate level: 100% of subscription, redemption, and servicing fees
- Payout schedule: Monthly, at the end of each calendar month
Customizing Fee Structures
Rime enables you to tailor fee structures to your business model and target investor segments.
Custom One-Off Fees
You can create custom offerings that define subscription and redemption fee levels between 0% and 5%.
For each custom offering:
- A dedicated Key Investor Document (KID) is automatically generated
- The KID reflects the exact fee structure for investor transparency
- Fee levels apply consistently across all orders using that offering
This flexibility allows you to create different fee tiers for different investor segments or distribution channels.
Share Class Selection for Servicing Fees
Servicing fees are managed through predefined share classes that determine the recurring revenue you earn from invested assets.
Standard servicing fee range: 0-1.5% per annum
Each share class has a fixed servicing fee structure. When you create an order, select the share class that matches your desired servicing fee level. If you need a custom servicing fee outside the standard range, contact Rime to set up a new share class.
The servicing fee is built into the fund’s cost structure and automatically drives your monthly recurring rebate.
Cost Transparency and Reporting
Rime provides complete visibility into all costs and rebates through automated reporting and API access.
Ex-ante cost disclosure: Before an order is placed, the full cost breakdown — including your rebate — is available via API and can be exported as a PDF document.
Ex-post cost reporting: After settlement, actual costs and rebates are reported and accessible through the API for your reconciliation and reporting needs.
All cost disclosures automatically incorporate:
- Custom offering fee structures
- Share class servicing fees
- Regulatory-compliant cost calculations
This ensures full transparency for both you and your investors, meeting regulatory requirements while giving you clear visibility into your earnings.
